Florida Responsible Vendor Act:
|
Dear Owner/Licensee,
The Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco (DABT) and Local Law Enforcement are,
and will continue conducting investigations to insure compliance with the beverage laws. An
average of 300 citations per month are issued to licensees who claimed that, it could never happen to us.
The Florida Responsible Vendor Act Training Program, (F.S. 561.705 and 561.706, provides relief to the licensee from the standard
administrative penalties, if the licensee is Qualified as a Responsible Vendor prior to the violation.
Your qualification by Alcoholic Beverage & Tobacco Consultants, Inc., (AB&TC) will insure that
your license is EXEMPT from the standard suspension or revocation for the sale/service or consumption of alcohol by minors, or drug
activity on your premises. AB&TC will also provide you with professional representation for violations against your license.

AB&TC's "Responsible Vendor Training Program" is designed to educate and qualify you
and your staff with regard to the laws pertaining to alcohol and tobacco in the State of Florida. The DABT strongly urges
licensees to be in compliance with this program.
The cost of qualification is nominal. Even if you already have a Responsible Vendor Training Provider, AB&TC
can usually save you a substantial amount of money. Let us design a program tailored to suit the needs of your business.
Training can be done on your premises, at your convenience, without disturbing the day-to-day operation of your business. The training course
takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete.
Savings is another advantage! Most insurance companies will offer a reduction of your liquor liability premiums if you are qualified
as a Responsible Vendor.
Don't be misled! The State Statute requires tri-annual continuing education with accurate records maintained on each employee, along
with 32 other subject matters required to maintain full compliance. The program also requires each new hire to be qualified under your
beverage license, regardless of any previous training or other program they may have attended.
Please don't be a statistic! As a direct result of untrained or careless employees, hundreds of licensees are cited
with violations each month. At Alcoholic Beverage & Tobacco Consultants, Inc., Our Business is
Protecting Your Business! To schedule an appointment or for additional information, please call our Corporate Office at 407-831-7233.
