Bio of Bob Lasek, President of Florida Business Investments:

Do Business With Someone Who Knows The Business.

The Harbor Master,
Sackets Harbor, NY.

Bob Lasek began his career in the Hospitality Business at an early age. As a small boy Bob would visit his Grandfather, Andrew Lasek who owned several bars and restaurants in Rochester, New York, which were established after prohibition ended. In 1947 at the age of five, Bob's parents Richard and Glenna Lasek purchased a combination bar and restaurant called the Ontario Grille in Sackets Harbor which is a quaint little village in upstate New York. After growing up in a family business and by the time he was nineteen and enlisted in the Navy, Bob developed a fondness for the Hospitality business. Bob's parents continued to operate the business for several years to come.

In the early seventies Bob's purchased the business from his parents and with a loan form his Grandfather was able to purchase the property on both sides of the restaurant thereby allowing for a major expansion and remodel.  A new name was in order as well, the "Boar's Head" immerged. Bob ran the business for a few years. However, he wanted more of a challenge in the hospitably business so he set out to do just that. Bob's brother Pat and his wife Sandra took over the management of the Boar's Head and they did yet another remodel adding a large new dinning room and a new name the "Harbormaster." The business remained in the family for nearly fifty years until it was sold in the mid nineties.

Bob's pursuit for a challenge let to a ten-year career as senior executive vice president for a large restaurant chain. During that tenure Bob became very skilled in the arts of business acquisitions, lease negotiations, site location, and the management of multiple units. Bob was also was investing in independent bars and nightclubs with some of his business associates. So now here is why you are reading this bio. It became obvious to Bob it was time for another career change which would make Bob the "PRESIDENT."

In 1983 Bob decided to visit this brother Ron in Orlando, Florida and was impressed with this fast growing city and quickly determined it would be a good choice to get in the restaurant business. So he gave his six mouths notice, quite the rat race and moved to Orlando. Upon arrival and eager to buy a restaurant Bob worked with several business brokers for seven or eight months trying to find the ideal restaurant.  It was all in vain; Bob was stunned by the Brokers lack of knowledge in hospitality industry. So in early 1984 without the help of the helpless brokers he purchased a closed restaurant in Winter Park.  Bob envisioned something unique so after a five hundred thousand dollar renovation he opened a fine dinning restaurant, which he proudly named, "R. A. Lasek's Food & Spirits."

The restaurant was an immediate success; however after a year passed Bob felt his workload was insufficient and was a bit bored with operating just one unit. After giving the situation considerable thought and remembering the wasted time and money spent on reviewing over priced or worthless businesses, a new idea was formed.

Bob realized there was a NITCH MARKET to broker Hospitality Businesses in Florida. He then went about obtaining his brokers licenses and launched his own Real Estate Business Brokerage Company in 1986. One of Bob's first sales was his own restaurant. To date, Bob has successfully brokered over 700 hospitality businesses. Once Bob began selling bars and restaurants his old entrepreneur nature resurfaced once again. In the late 80's and early 90's Bob and his partners began building several Family style Billiards & Sports Bars called "Hot Shots." They proved to be very successful and rewarding. Next Bob purchased a failing liquor lounge and converted it to a state of the art nightclub called the "Bistro." Bob has sense sold his interests in all the businesses and enjoys helping other people achieve their dreams in the pursuit of acquiring that special hospitality business.
